About Michele

Michele's commitment is to teach and empower people to be the best
they can be; mentally, physically and spiritually. Prior to teaching
yoga, Michele worked at the BC Children’s' Hospital as a Respiratory
Therapist for 16 years. This experience gave her a unique view of
the breath She has been involved in Meditation and Energy work since
1996. She has traveled to India on numerous occasions, And in 2008,
as a
co-leader of the "The Spirit of India Tour". She will be
returning and co-leading another "Sacred Earth Journeys Tour" on
Feb 13-28, 2010. As of Oct, 2009 she will have four yoga teacher
training’s with over 1,300 hours of accumulated study. She is
certified and insured. Her work centers on Hatha Yoga, a classical
form of yoga that includes a series of postures and breathing
techniques. The primary focus is on breath, building strength,
flexibility, and safety as well as promoting a sense of well being.
Her passions are training as a Corporate “Well Being Coach " and
facilitating workshops. She teaches practical easy tools of
relaxation to be applied in stressful times, which have immediate
and long lasting effects (reported by clients). Volunteering for
Yoga Outreach since 2003 at the Burnaby Youth Secure where both
youth and staff have benefited from the effects of yoga. Since 2008
volunteers for a relaxation program that she initiated for parents at BC Children’s
Hospital in the oncology ward and ICU to assist the parents to
de-stress.
Michele currently teaches Yoga on Mondays in New Westminster with
Continuing Education, Friday and Saturdays at YYoga-
Highgate in Burnaby, Wednesdays at Body Harmony Yoga studio in North
Vancouver, Fridays and Thursdays for staff and children in the
Mental Health area at C&W Hospital.
Tuesday mornings she is at Flow Wellness to provide a variety of
relaxation treatments including Indian Head Massage. To make an

CIBC Bank, Seymour Medical Clinic, Vancouver Aquarium.

Taught Yoga at Camp Mooba for teens with cancer in July.
Presented several Yoga Mudra workshops for 6-35 people at: Annual
Yoga Outreach Retreat, Newport Yoga Studio in Port Moody,
the Vancouver Yoga Day Conference at the Vancouver public
library, Rhodes College in Vancouver and to students in a Yoga
Teacher Training in Whiterock
